The tight political race between the Pittman campaign and Eddie Biggs has come to a head. Desperate for an edge, a campaign manager reaches out to some shady individuals who promise that they have the key to clinching the election.
This film was produced for the DC 48hr Film Project along with the rest of the Assorted Meats and Cheeses team. It took home 2nd place overall, along with awards for writing, acting, and editing. When watching, please keep in mind that it was made in October of 2016, when the idea of a company that manufactured political conspiracy theories was still an absurd concept instead of our sad reality.

How well do you really know your partner? Are their strange quirks what they appear to be? There's no way to tell, but one thing's for certain - you really wish they'd keep their tentacles on their side of the bed.
Winner of the "Best Newcomer" award at the 2016 DC 48hr Film Project, "Subject Alpha" was produced by the Assorted Meats and Cheeses team. Although we were thrilled with the win, we were really holding out for that coveted and imaginary "Most Comprehensible Title" award. Maybe next year.

Growing up is never easy, especially if you don't seem to fit the image of what a woman is supposed to be. Comedic up-and-comer Paige Snider stars in a semi-autobiographical short about the struggles that come along with trying to be "sexy".... whatever the hell that means.
I was thrilled to help write and act as 1st AD for this short film. It enjoyed a highly successful festival run thanks to its authenticity and relatable characters. We tried to blur the line between reality and farce, and make something that was both funny and honest.
